consistent placement of plan in paperspace

I want all my floor plans to have the same coordinates in all the sheets of my drawings. Place the same plan on different sheets in the same spot or coordinate.

How do I do that?

assuming all floor plans share the same base coordinate point like 0,0,0:

1. setup first dwg by xref one of the floor plans in model tab

2. next in layout create vport with particular scale zoomed into the area you want to see the floor plan.

3. then save dwg

4. start new dwg & xref the next floor plan in to model tab

5. right mouse click on any of the tabs model or layout and select From Template

(or use command: Layout then enter Template)

6. On the Select Template from file window change the file type to Drawing (*.dwg)

7. Select the first drawing and click Open

8. On the Insert Layout(s) window, select the layout with the pspace vport already setup to bring into the current drawing.

Another method is to use ADCENTER and select the first floor plan drawing that way and drag & drop the layout into the current drawing

A third method is to open the Reference Palette, select the xref and change the path to point to another floor plan and save that as the new drawing

INSBASE variable is worth exploring for all of your files for consistency of coordinates https://www.cadlinecommunity.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/201863201-AutoCAD-system-variable-INSBASE#:~:te....
