caps is turned on when typing

textallcaps is the only thing I could find in the help section and not even a variable in Autocad.  How do I turn off the cap lock when typing other than holding down the shift key?

Sounds like your using MTEXT

Start an MTEXT item right click in it, and make sure All CAPS is unticked

It was added a very very long time ago: which version did you last use that it never did that?

I used autocad 14 lt and I guess it was never turned on and I never needed it.  Looks like  I have a lot to learn.

This didn't work for me. I'm using CAD 2018 LT. I don't even see an ALL CAPS option when I right click within the MT command. It hasn't always done this but it has for many weeks now. 

Other suggestions???

It's there for all of us, unless your setup is broken or that's not your problem at all, but something on the system level, struck CAPS LOCK or something else outside the program
