What am I doing wrong with this isometric ellipse?

Hey, I've got a problem. I was asked to make an isometric ellipse inside a cube. (There's a picture in the end)

I've activated the "isometric snap" and then I wrote "ellipse" and when I make both points (beginning and end of the ellipse) it doesn't fit... There must be something I'm doing wrong or I'm not doing. Please tell me.

... and first make sure you're drawing on the correct isometric "face" of things:  ISOPLANE [in the image examples] Right.

Also, there's a way to change your cursor to an Isometric Plane. In your 2009 version you should be able to go to your SNAP & GRID settings and changing your snap type to Isometric Snap. Once you have this set, you'll see your cursor align with your isometric planes. To toggle, press F5.  Here's a snapshot of the Snap & Grid Settings (2015, so some prompts may be different):
