Viewport lock does not work

The viewport lock button on the toolbar does not work. Nothing happens when i push the button. Why?

Can you select the viewport and then right click, choose display locked and select "Yes". Does it lock now?

if pspace vport is on a locked layer, then you cannot display lock the vport

Thank you! That is the problem. The viewport was on a locked layer.
