Previously in ACAD 16 the command line was outside of my drawing window. Now (?) It is inside and it blocks my cursor when I am dragging or moving or anything. How do I get the command line parked outside my drawing window? Having text of what I am doing planted in front of me is annoying. Help!!
If you really tank about the commandline: drag the commandline to the statusbar,
the shape changs to the full wide of program window, then drop it.
Not it is "docked".
Or do you talk about the dynamic input option? Set Dynmode to -3
If it doesn't solved your problem, upload a screenshot (and mark what you called "commandline")

You know what "drag&drop" is?
drag
Click and hold the left mouse button (at the point you can see in my picture)
move the commandline (while holding the left mouse button)
drop
release the left mouse button (if you can see that the shape of the commandline changes, if not, try to drop it in the lower section, near the statusbar)

Thanks for the help, Non of this worked;
1) The command line is inside my drawing at the bottom of the page, above the old status area. I can't drag my cursor thru it when I am drawing, I have to pan to get by it. Before it was out of the drawing area, now it is about 1/2" thick and about 3" wide, before I use only 2 lines & they were all the way across the screen and it did not interfere with my cursor. I have use every sort of attempt to relocate it but I can't get in, stretch, move, nothing
2) Now when I open my drawing about 2" of the drawing is not seen at all, because it is buried below? I have always had full screen view of my drawings. Limits have been set, full view is set..........nada.
3) Also there is a another (temp. ?) command line that pops up every time I use a command, mouse or keyboard. For some reason it is showing everything I am doing up to about 5 lines of text. All of which blocks my cursor (see 2). Why is this being written at the bottom of my drawings?
4) When this all started to mess up by itself, I went to my workspace & it gave me some kind of generic acad junk instead of my own file. So I had to re do all of my tools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) I had to change to ACAD 17 because of a problem ya'll had with 16. I asked if I should delete 16 and was told no. Now my ACAD 17 is a turtle that was fathered by a slug. What do I have to do to get my computer back to normal?
Wish I had ACAD 9 or even 12 again......
Hi,
>> The command line is inside my drawing
Please show a screenshot of your AutoCAD application window so we see which style your command-line has and where it is positioned.
>> because it is buried below?
Sounds like the command-line is NOT docked (moved downwards to the statusbar until you get a rectangle displayed and then release the mouse button).
