Table's Blank Cells Issues

Can someone inform me why when I copy and paste the cells in the provided drawing, some of the pasted cells are blank? This issue is occurring in version S.51.0.0 2022.

@RocksterB While you wait... your AutoCAD 2022 is not updated at all.

You want the 2022.1.4 Update, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

FYI, no issues at all using copy/paste in your table with your cells

Perhaps there is something else we need to be doing first that you did not mention yet?

But why copy/paste anything from row#1? OP never mentions that as the only issue. but OK, it still works fine here, but I'm not running original not-updated 2022 at all

I can reproduce it in some versions.

Sample picture from 2025.1

red: Original data and my cell copies (I miss some values)

blue: additional new values and the cell copies (works well)

TO: why when I copy and paste the cells in the provided drawing, some of the pasted cells are blank?

It happens with the existing content (row 2-5, or better with row 3+4 only, column A+B / 3A+3B+4A and 4B)

I can not see the copy of row 2-5 in your picture.

Got it. I  did not test in AutoCAD2025.1. Check cell locking, more often than not many are unlocked, a few are not. Same for formatting. And data type.

If some others want to try the clean test to reproduce it (I guess the version doesn't matter, I tried different from 2021-2025)

ALL steps I did:

I opened the original file,

selected cell A2->C5  (by click in cell A2,  and in C5 while holding shift), ctrl+c

selected cellA6, ctrl+v

My result, see attached file below.

A7-B8 empfty (no content), expected: The same content as in A3-B4

(and it doesn't matter if i unlock all cells or not)

See attached: unlocked all cells and matched formatting.

Hi Pendean,

from me too, thanks for testing.

I know what I can do to get another result, but

1. I don't know why it doesn't work with such edits

2. I can't see the difference betwenn A2 and A3 for example, or B3 and B4 ..

3. No matter the formats are, the expected result is to get content

I think becaue of your answers, you also can reproduce the issue (by following my introduces), that's good.

@RocksterB

I can't explain it.

Whatever the issue is, it has to do with corrupt(unexpecting) data of your cells.

See Pendeans reply

I believe this is one of those rare times where there is no solution. Thank you for all your assistance.

So out of curiosity how was this Table created? Was it copied from Excel or another program?

The data in the cells of this table was added manually. Excel was not involved.

So this was a Table created from AutoCAD. Does this happen every time a new Table is created? What AutoCAD version are you using ? Enter About command and share the build #

This issue doesn't occur in newly created tables. The tables with the problem happens to be in multiple files. I just provided a snippet of the actual long table. The AutoCAD version is S.51.0.0 2022, which is what must be used at this time.

It’s good that the problem doesn’t occur with newly created Tables. Do you recall if these tables were originally created using this version of AutoCAD or with a previous version?

The tables were created back in AutoCAD 2018.
