Make solid not plot

I'm trying to figure out how to make a solid not plot within a block. I have seen this before. I have blocks that have a solid hatch in them. All blocks including hatches are on layer 0, BYLAYER. I want to make a specific color not plot the solid hatch. The prevents having to have a proposed block and an existing block.

That's a great system. Otherwise...
1. They need to be on a dedicated layer you can toggle PLOT-NOPLOT for total control.
2. The long-winded method: use BEDIT or REFEDIT to change the hatch color to RGB 255,255,255 when you don't want them to plot, then back to whatever when you do.

How many more times are you going to keep posting the same question? I'm curious more than anything.

Just trying to find out how to do it the simplest way. If one of my old co-workers could do it I know someone else can too. I haven't been able to spend any time on this lately, but if i figure it out i will let you know.

Pick up the phone and call them (if they are still around): quickest way to solve a mystery.
