I had Geo Location maps on AutoCAD before the upgrade to 2024. I am able to initiate the procedure to bring a map in, but get thwarted by a message saying I don't have the credentials. I also got Map3D installed and there is not even a palette button to bring in a Geo Location Map. Does anyone know how to get the Geo Location back?

Unfortunately, this link you sent seems to be the "go-to" from everyone I have looked to for help. It's not that I don't have "permissions" because I had it before on my old version of AutoCAD. The message I get on the AutoCAD 2024 is that "The specified credentials are invalid". With Map 3D, I don't even have the palette to use Geo Location Map.

No issues at all in R2024.0.1 here, but I am also logged into my Autodesk account and have the ACCESS app on and logged in too (I seem to remember an alert box appearing when I first used GEO command a few months back that recommended I stay logged in to use the feature)
Same in Map3D2024.

Thank you for the reply. I too, am also logged into Access. Let me know if you come up with anything else.

@pendean I'm looking at my old PC and thinking there must be a log in and password for the Geolocation and that maybe I can use it from the old to put into the new. Where would I find that log-in and password though if I'm already logged in to always remember me?

@cwkbpa AFAIK there is no special log-in required outside of this one
Unless your accounts manager has restrictions on your usage somehow somewhere.
Have you tried the #1 tech support tip on the planet yet? Log out of your Autodesk software, restart your PC, log back in then give it another shot?

@cwkbpa ,
This may be an issue that Autodesk may have to resolve with Bing, as in this similar link:

This is what my problem seems to be. I'll ask if there is a current 2023 fix.

You’re running AutoCAD Map3D
If you didn’t assign a coordinate system to modelspace then Bing Maps won’t be available so you won’t be able turn on Bing aerial imagery.
Also, if you assign the wrong coordinate system you may have an issue similar to the one illustrated in THIS POST.

This problem I'm having is still going on. Nobody from any of my other posts was able to help me. I've been working with AutoDesk for the past 4 weeks without a resolution. At this point, it is believed that there is a problem with the program itself. I use AutoCAD 2024 and Map3D 2024 and neither one works. My AutoCAD 2022 still works with no problem

Looks like you are ready to jump back to 2022 for now until Autodesk figures it all out: ouch!
Best wishes.

I'm having the exact same problem, likewise have found no answers that have helped. I do believe it's a 2024 version issue specifically that we'll just have to wait for them to fix. It doesn't appear to be account-based, VPN-based or GEO settings based (at least as far as we can control as users) Just need to continue reporting it and hope they take notice

Thank you for bringing this back into the light. There has been a fix and I'm happy to share it with you. It has to do with the SSL Decryption Exemptions to get through the firewall you have. Below is the exact email AutoDesk Support sent me. Administrative abilities are needed to do anything she speaks of here. Also, the Driver .arx wasn't allowed to be attached. I'm not sure how else I can send it through here.
Hope it helps.
--We have been following these cases and finding that (in most cases) The maps are displaying after adding the following autocad domains to SSL decryption exemption( autocad.com, misc.autocad.com, and developer.api.autodesk.com)”. If you still have this issue after setting up these exceptions, there is a driver that I can have you run and it will show exactly where the block is occurring.
