COST ESTIMATION. IS IT POSSIBLE?

Greetings, 

 

I am a 202 AutoCAD subscriber, looking to see if its possible to assign costs associated to blocks.

 

Main purpose being that I am constantly working on jobs where I'm designing huge fire sprinlker systems, high pile storage and racking, where I use blocks to design said systems.

 

Does AutoCAD 2020 have some sort of built in tool for being able to properly estimate costs? If so can someone knowledgeable in this field give me a rundown?

Nothing built in.  You would have to apply some automation e.g. use DATAEXTRACTION to generate counts of those blocks with post processing in Excel.
