If I were doing this I would likely use SLICE to trim off the top of the vertical members. Give it a try and let me know if you have luck or get stuck.
You could also grip select the ends of the verticals and drag them down.

i tried dragging grips but it pulls the hieght of the whole frome not each corner cant seen to slice it ?
