cant trim in 3d

hi

 i cant trim the middle frames to the top frame in the drawing ???

Hi @Anonymous,

 

If I were doing this I would likely use SLICE to trim off the top of the vertical members.  Give it a try and let me know if you have luck or get stuck.

 

You could also grip select the ends of the verticals and drag them down.

i tried dragging grips but it pulls the hieght of the whole frome not each corner cant seen to slice it ?

Hi,

 

please find this video which shows how to change the middle objects and UNION them at the end.

this is great thank you also how can i cut the top frame back where it overhangs the low end
