AutoCAD 2024, 2026 only half of screen viewport after macOS Tahoe

It's always disappointing when a company the size of Autodesk doesn't do his job and test the widely announced newest macOS release. Months of time to correct any bugs, but still you choose to wait and see what happens.

UPDATE 09/26:

The solution proposed by @kclarkePZWHD is the most easier and elegant.
But it can be even simpler:
There’s no need to undock the Palettes or move the command line bar.
Just grab the right side of the command line bar (Picture 1)  and drag it to the end of the screen, passing behind the docked palettes (Picture 2).
Release and done.

I just had a Customer with this Issue If you

1. Undock the Pallets on the Right Side First, leave them Floating.

2. The Go to the Command Line and Dock the Command Line.

3. Stretch the Command Line the Whole Width of Model Space View Port

    you ordinarily required.

That Should Fix it.

IF possible then Save that "arrangement of tools" WorkSpace as My-Workspace.

This can be used as an emergency fall back position if you like or you can just persevere with it.

Hi @garett_rowe273 ,

The Update was released before Tahoe final release, that is why it doesn't resolve the problem.

We need to wait for a new Update.

I must defend Autodesk in Fairness as a Partner. the Software AutoCAD 2026 for Mac was released prior to Tahoe. I dont think Apple Provided a Lot of notice on this OS release and it's arrived outside of Autodesk's "Standard Release Schedule" so they are re-engineering product to catch up. A Lot of vendors are I'd say. There is a new Graphics Engine to deal with.

You should be aware it does not state anywhere that AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT 2026 or other wise are supported on Tahoe.

(I'm not a MAC guy either however, I've seen this issue in the past in circa AutoCAD LT 2 or 3 and AutoCAD 13 when things were "weird" on Windows; not saying its old code or the interface is similar - its not - the stretched edge of dialog box is)

I can only say you could roll Tahoe back.??

You are talking like Apple, one day decided to release a new version of their operating system without any warning....
The first developer beta of macOS Tahoe (version 26) was released on June 9, 2025. Tahoe was released to the public 4 months later.
If you are actively releasing and supporting Mac computers, is your duty as a software provider to test your own software in the widely announced and available betas.

Two updates were released way after the Tahoe beta availability:
2024.2.1 Update September 2, 2025
2026.0.1 Update August 5, 2025

And none of the them corrected the issues proactively.

And we are not talking about small UI issues, half of the screen is unusable...

Recommending users to stay lingering around in older versions of the macOS is not a good advice.
macOS Tahoe fixed over 70 security issues.

Autodesk needs to step-up its game and have a more dynamic and proactive release cycle of updates.

I dont work for Autodesk I did say that.

You should Speak to YOUR channel Partner or Autodesk Support via your Autodesk Rep.

However Autodesk Will NOT certify Software ready for an Opperating system until its ready.

The development cycle may not allow for "Parachute implementation" of changes and new releases

to address features which were possibly in beta releases or possibly not.

I'm sure it will be along soon Unless the flexible edges of the pallets is a new MAC feature.

Just 6 weeks behind the 2026.1 for PC that's excellent all things considered that August/September is Autodesk's Mid Term release date.

So all of the Software portfolio is updated tested and released in this period along with Cloud Platform updates and other things.

Kudos to the Development Teams.

This works for me...i updated from autocad 2025 to 2026 and the half screen disappear.
Maybe works, if you uninstall and reinstall the app (keeping the version)
