Fan in and Fan out connections   one of my major disappointments in AutoCAD Electrical is the Fan in and Fan out command.   1, not taking the wire layer across when you do the source and destination ( the source and destination arrow does this)   2, my biggest problem, having to manually draw the connecting wire/cable between the fan in and fan out,   Surely there is a way of using just one command to fan in the multiple wires/ cable so that it does not clutter up the drawing and then fanning it back out without having to source and destination every wire and then manually connecting it together? When user creates a new project, Would be nice to have a spot in the WD.env file to change the path of the default "Copy settings from Project File: wdp file" . Would be perfect for large businesses that use this for multiple users. Vote please! Show More

It can get tedious to do the "show connections" when wiring.  Those of us that mouse with our left hand can't easily hit x-space quickly, not to mention the green x's disappearing when you pan or zoom.  I propose that the green x's are in each symbol on a separate, non-plotting layer that can be turned on and off.  The symbol builder would put in the graphics when creating new symbols.  It would also be handy to have a migration tool that could go into a symbols folder and add the graphics for all of the X?TERM attributes it finds in symbols. It would be nice if the Project Manager would check for XREFS within a project when changing a filename.   If you have to change the filename due to a clients filename format requirement (dwg revision as part of the filename for example) and the file in question has been used as an XREF, you then have to track down the dwg/s that use it as an XREF and update those to follow the new dwg rather than the original.   What is needed is a section in the Project file that keeps track of any XREF's used within the project, and when a filename is updated, go to the dwg with the XREF and update that to the new dwg name instead of having to do it manually.   Regards Brad Show More

So Eplan 2.5 was launched a few months back quietly no big fanfare etc.   Got round to seeing what’s new and what have they done   Almost completely re-written how the terminal manager works (Acade TSE) just remember the Eplan terminal manager is light years better than the Autodesk offering   So why did they do it well lots of new terminal types are being created by the terminal manufactures that defy the standard connection details so Eplan re-wrote it   How does that affect you well now Eplan can handle the more exotic terminal types without now frigging the systems !!!!   Example can ACADE address these terminal types and these are screen grabs from phoenix contacts clipproject           So why Acade 2026    well how I work it will be 5 years of denial that the TSE is perfectly fine and does not need work on   Then it will be 5 years of re-inventing the wheel getting it wrong then eventually getting something like what we need   But then again we will be even further behind the best ECAD program in the market   Come on guys we need a better TSE dont ignore the problem try and get ahead of the curve       No Not a Consultant Just someone trying to make it work     Show More

I created a single-line diagram. Based on this data, I need to create a drawing of the panel layout. Single-line components contain the WDTYPE attribute with the value 1 -. I run the "Schema list" (AEFOOTPRINTSCH). The list of schema components is empty. If I delete the value of the WDTYPE (1 -) attribute, the single-line components are included in the list of schemas. This is an old request that pops up from time to time.  Many of us use fuse holders that are actually terminal blocks, and are thus located in the TRMS table.  So we insert a fuse and click Multiple Catalog to assign the fuse holder from the TRMS table.  When we generate a BOM we get no component description or other technical details, because the main part, the fuse, is in table FU and the BOM generator won't open the TRMS table to get the details for the fuse holder. So when we generate a BOM, there is no description or other details.  The same is true is we make the fuse holder terminal block the main part and add the fuse as the Multiple Catalog entry.  This is the required method if we want to stack the fuse holders with Terminal Strip Editor.   We have to copy the part record from the TRMS table to the FU table in order for the fuse holder to appear in the BOM with all details.  But now we have to remember to maintain the fuse holder in two separate tables. This needs to be corrected. The BOM generator needs to be able to pull the data for all Multiple Catalog entries, regardless which table they come from. Show More

This is an an old issue and there is a work-around, but it continues to throw a wrench into the works for new customers.     When we move our Icon Menu data files and slide libraries to a network folder and we set a redirect in the wd.env file to look for slide library files in the network folder, the software loses its connection to the bitmaps in the AcadE folder, thus the images for the Insert Ladder, Fan-In/Fan-Out, Multiple Bus, etc. dialogs are missing.                         Show More

Make balloons use AutoCAD's Annotative functionality. That way if the scale factor changes they adjust to the new scale factor.   Currently I can use an annotative text style and the text within the balloon adjusts but the circle and arrow do not and the configuration will not allow me to use annotative arrows ad it will not allow me to use an annotative user block, but it would even be better if the entire balloon was annotative. It would be helpful, when I update the Description in the Source or Destination signal arrow, to have the option to update its mate, or spouse, if you will.  If I edit the Description on the Destination, I would like an option to go find the Source, and change its Description as well. Show More

I find that there are times that I need several drawings that exist in one project in my new project.   Currently, to do this through the software, I have to copy each drawing one at a time to do this. The "hack" way is to open the .wdp, copy the drawing paths to the clipboard and paste them into the new .wdp and then copy over the drawings into the new folder.   It would be great if we could select multiple drawings from "Copy To" in the RMC of the drawings from within the project. The selected OSnap modes often change from what was originally selected. This is not useful. The selected OSnap modes should remain at whatever the user last selected. When switching Object Snap off and back on, ACADE sometimes blanks out all of the previous mode selections. This requires reselecting all of the desired modes. This doesn't take a lot of time, but it does disrupt the flow of work which results in lost productivity. Also, when placing wires, the Nearest mode is activated. The only reason I use Nearest is to place Wipeouts on curved objects. I've never used it for anything else. The Nearest mode ignores objects that were specifically made in a schematic symbol to make wire placement easier and faster. Show More
