It would be very nice if we could have single part marks and assembly marks exported to Revit via the .smlx file. Maybe to have them integrated with the Identity Data of each element.
I have been tasked with trying to use Revit to assist on our projects. Without numbering that can transfer from either advanced steel to Revit or Revit to advances steel, Revit is useless to us. I have spent the past two weeks learning Revit and now I see it was all for not.
The numbering export to Revit would be extremely useful. It would allow general arrangement drawings to be prepared in Revit so that AS can be used for MP and SP drawings only. This marries the strengths of both programs.
I agree. It would be a great addition to the integration between the two tools. This integration with numberingis not possible, limits the use of Revit in the elaboration of the executive design.
This topic has been around for 4 years. For such a useful addition, it would seem that the software engineers at autodesk can't figure out how to make it work so they have just ignored it.
