DXF output for plates: Setting to force creating only one view in the DXF file

DXF output for plates: Setting to force creating only one view in the DXF file

Currently, the DXF file generated by Advance Steel shows all the views described by (DSTV) NC file.

But not all CNC machines are able to read or handle correctly the DXF files containing more than 1 view.

The feature request would be to have a setting like:

  • "Force output of 1 plate face only in DXF file"

So the DXF files for plates will contain one and only one view.

Thank you

Emy

This is helpful when you are only working with 2D cookie cutter items and you can't use the scribing on the opposite face anyway.

but what happened if you have scribing on both sides?, there's an option needed maybe to mark these files in the document manager, so the user maybe could have a look at this.

Hi,

we have added the possibility to create only one-sided DXF files for plates in Advance Steel 2022.

You can find a video here:

Don't have the "create only one-sided DXF files for plates" option in 2023?
