how can i shorten additional elements without trimming or deleting?

when i regenerate a model into a drawing, i use "assembly and additional element" from model objest selection tab. I need the additional elements for top view but not for cut view so is there a way i can shorten the additional elements without trimming or removing them entirely?

*Attached is just a sample drawing with markings on what i need and what i need shortened.

I am not 100% sure this will work, but for the plan view I would use a camera box. That would give you control over the extents.

For the other views, you can generate them using single part drawing styles.

would clip not do the job ? (double click green box of drawing look for clip)
