AS MODEL VERY SLOW - OFTEN Advance steel HUNG

Dear All.

my model size is 17 MB .Roof with z - purlins  and more spilce connections. 

it is too slow and often hung. what are necessary steps i have to do when i do big model to avoid the hung and work fast . please give me some  suggestion .

I have created lot of model view , is this reason for the slow and hung .

For a model of this size / complexity the 2D wireframe visual style will be slow.

Try the 'fast shaded' visual style.  You should see a big improvement.

@desigan2015 , use this command. purge all anything you dont need.

I don't have AS2023, but I believe the 'out of the box' model template file includes a fast shaded visual style.

You can copy visual styles between drawings using the explorer (ctrl+2)

 

If you don't have this, you can configure your current drawing visual style as per Graitec recommendations

Hi,


The Conceptual visual style is the worst / slowest performing style of all. See my blog here and here.

 

If you are using As2023 or higher just switch to Shaded or Shaded with Edges visual style. Then if the menu does not say "(FAST)" next to it type FASTSHADEMODE 1 to turn it on. It overrides your settings to something it can work with.
