Request for Bulk User Assignment Feature in ACC

Request for Bulk User Assignment Feature in ACC

This has been raised several times, but it never seems to gain much traction—which I find quite surprising!

We urgently need the ability to add members to multiple projects at once.

We manage over 100 projects, and every time a new starter joins, I have to manually go through each project to:
Select project → Add members → Add user → Send invite — repeated 100+ times. This process can take over an hour.

To make matters worse, the new starter then receives 100+ email notifications, which is overwhelming and unnecessary.

It would be incredibly helpful if ACC allowed us to:

  • Add a company or group to multiple projects at once, or
  • Assign a user to selected or all projects in bulk.

This would save a huge amount of time and reduce email clutter for new team members.

Very similar topic as: Adding New Member to a Project in ACC/BIM360 - Autodesk Community

In a way this can already be achieved through the API nodes. Yet this would be very beneficial on the ACC hubs directly too. Especially when managing multiple hubs. Yet this is with caution, this will only work if all projects on the corresponding hub(s) are structured the same way regarding access rights

While I agree it’s a great idea, I’m wondering if it’s truly necessary for every new starter to be added to all 100+ projects. I manage multiple hubs, each with 50–100 projects, and in practice, users are rarely added to more than 5% of them.

As a small to medium-sized practice, it’s not always feasible to dedicate a full team to each project for its entire lifecycle. Our workflow often requires team members to move between projects, and constantly adding or reallocating resources would create significant management challenges.
