Enable Clickable Hyperlinks in ACC Folder and File Columns (Using Custom Attribute)

Currently, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) allows users to add custom attributes to folders and files, but these attributes do not support clickable hyperlinks. This limitation affects workflows where users need to reference external systems such as SharePoint, OneDrive, or internal portals directly from ACC.

The proposed enhancement is to enable support for clickable hyperlinks in folder and file columns (via custom attributes or metadata). This would allow users to:

  • Add external URLs as attribute values.
  • Click directly from the ACC interface to open linked resources.
  • Improve integration with third-party platforms and documentation systems.
  • Reduce manual effort and context switching between platforms.

 Benefits:

  • Streamlined access to external resources.
  • Enhanced collaboration across platforms.
  • Improved user experience and productivity.
  • Better support for hybrid document management workflows.

This would help us immensely! We're integrating/migrating our SharePoint project site library structure into ACC so that both systems are synced for continuity and to continue using the backend Power Automate functions we've enjoyed for so long. We've built a centralized Power App. to help guide users through how to properly upload documents + fill in the correct metadata for ALL scenarios in our end-to-end Store Development process. Having hyperlinks available in ACC file attributes will allow us to tie in seamlessly to this Power App. from both ACC and Microsoft environments.
