Allow Initiators to Assign Approvers per Review

In our approval workflows we face a limitation: the initiator can only adjust the reviewer, not the approver.

Here’s how we currently set it up:

• Roles (e.g., Project Leader as reviewer, BIM Coordinator as approver) are predefined in the templates.

• At project level, we want the initiator to select a specific project member from those roles when starting the review.

• This way, only the selected person receives the notification and knows they are responsible.

The problem is that right now all project members assigned to that role receive notifications. This leads to:

• Unnecessary email spam.

• No proper safeguarding of the process, because responsibility is unclear.

Suggestion:

• Allow the initiator to assign both the reviewer and the approver when starting the review.

• Ensure that only the selected project member in the role gets the notification, not everyone with that role.
