Floor Generator Plugin Error Message

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Jason Crawford and I have recently downloaded the product 'Floor Generator' for 3DS Max 2021. Unfortunately, I have encountered numerous error messages when trying to use the product, therefore, I was wondering if you could please advise me on using this product?

After installing the plugin to my computer files, I have tried to use the plugin on several different files/shapes/editable polys within 3DS max, but unfortunately, I keep encountering the same warning message and eventually crashes 3DS Max. 

The message is as follows: 

"Pattern Creation Warning

More boards created than specified in max boards.

Either raise the maximum, or make the boards larger

ok to continue or cancel creating floor?"

I have also tried to modify the Floor Generator parameters and max boards warning, but the error continues to flag every time I change one parameter. 

Please could you advise on how this could be resolved as I would very much appreciate any advice you may have? I am a new user to 3DS Max and am struggling to identify the problem.

I had the same problem but it was solved doing the following:

Choose your floor generator pattern - go to it's parameters (in the modify section) - "Warnings" and change "Max boards" number, increase it to a higher number of boards and that should solve the problem.

I wish to add hereby that : After entering some "big value" for the Maximum Boards under the Warnings dropdown... You must change the value/values that you might have reduced or increased before. Most probably changing the value of the Len/Width under the Board size dropdown.  Hope it works for you too😊 Happy creativity guys!🤓

Check if you have a flat surface first. A quick way to do it is select all the vertices and then scale it down in Z.

1. Turned off the floor generator modifier.
2. Centered the pivot within the shape.
3. Executed 'Reset XForm' in the utilities tab.
4. Ensured it's positioned below the floor generator in the modifier stack.
5. Turned the floor generator back on.
