Hi @ADT267, Thanks for submitting your idea. Could you please clarify your idea? Are you looking for just strike-through formatting? If so, could you update the title so that the idea is specific. If you are looking for other types of formatting as well, please file separate ideas. Don't forget that 2 clearly defined ideas are actually better than 1 summary idea!
I think the idea is clearly stated as wanting the text editor to be improved and that the ability to add Strikethrough is just one example of the desired improvements.
The notion of posting a separate idea for each type of formatting improvement is just plain silly.
We need to be able to format text to allow for lists (currently possible but severely limited in capabilities), multiple sizes (think of a HEADER above a group of notes.
Have a look at the latest version of the ACAD MTEXT editor -- it's pretty good.
@doni49 It may be silly, but that's the way that Autodesk likes it - probably because each item will get implemented separately and/or they what to see (by votes) which items people really want. So, since this seems to have gotten stuck as a "general" text formatting wish, I've created a wish for strikethrough formatting here:
Also, there have been a couple times where I've wished that I could just manually change one element's text height without having to create a whole new type, but I'm not sure that we'd really need to have two sizes in one element. However, if you create a wish, I'd vote for it!
@sasha.crotty now I'm thinking my general-notes-related text formatting wish might need to be broken up into 3 different ones as well?:
@lionel.kai, yes, breaking them up would be great. The reasoning is actually quite simple - we need know which of the improvements people are voting on. If there are, say, 4 improvements in the same idea, then we have no way of telling which improvement is the most important one to focus on first. I will also note that smaller ideas are more actionable.
Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
