Workspace view settings

When I have set my toolbars/ palettes etc the way I want it, I save my workspace.

In the CUI window I also see which palettes are on in my workspace and on which side they are if they are docked.
All my toolbars/palettes are locked (lockui 15)

Now in my workspace on my left side I have the external references palette above the layer palettes.

If I close AutoCad 2023.1.3 (last updated version 2023) and open it again, they are reversed. So the layer palette above and the xref below.

When I enter the command "wscurrent", I see that the current workspace is my own workspace.
If I change this workspace to the 2D drafting workspace and then back to my own workspace, my palettes have disappeared...

Looking at the CUI settings, they should be visible. But that is not the case.

Anyone have an idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?

It can't have anything to do with my lisp files. I have all moved these to a different file folder and also removed them from my startup suite.

No permanent fix: it happens to all of us in all versions of AutoCAD from time to time.
