I just cranked up autolisp again after too many years and have a new lisp program that I can "animate" under "debug" but the F8 key is always greyed out.  It seems that if one can "animate", then the lisp program is properly loaded.  In fact, the top 6 options under "Debug" are greyed out including all the F8's.  I've searched the Internet for answers but so far nothing. I've tried everything I can think of but still no F8.  I'm using Autocad 2015 and Win-7-64.

Have you set a break point in your code? Once you have a break point, you can execute your code, which runs through to your break point. At that time, the animation tools are available.
