What happened to my post of today?
Did I use a dirty word?

Why?
I wouldn't expect the general AutoCAD user to know much about object
properties and vlax-put.

Maybe the alt+keycode, try this Text pt ht etc hold ALT do key code let go alt press again do next alt+keycode.

Alt 066

Alt 073

Alt 071

Alt 065

Alt 076

You can go above the 128 for the extended keys.

Alt+252 & Alt+253  ² ³

(vla-get-textstring obj) using bricscad
"BIG¡▓¿²¹³AL"

Yes, I do that all the time for ° and ± and ÷
but unicode is beyond Alt+
There is no extended key for a capital delta /_\ *(that didn't come out too
well)*
BTW, I have found out that the Alt+ keys have to be entered using the
numeric keypad. That's part of the reason why I always buy a 17" laptop.

I have the number pad.

Had a play with mtext manually not sure program wise, pasted \U+0394 no quotes

This worked

(setq obj (vlax-ename->vla-object (car (entsel "Pick obj"))))
Pick obj#<VLA-OBJECT IAcadMText 000001e9f2cb5ff8>

(setq str (strcat "John " "\U+0394" " Uhden"))
"John Δ Uhden"
(vla-put-textstring obj str)
