Would it be possible to create an LISP script for snap overrides so that I can snap to Endpoints, Midpoints, Tangent, Intersection, Extension, etc. by typing in a two letter combination? And would this work within while editing a polyline with its handles or when the polyline command is active?

NO.

Imho the best option is Shift RightMouseClick + Letter. Key letters could be adjusted in CUI if differs from Revit. Also, it could be Shift/Ctrl or just another button if you have a gaming mouse.

Or you can redefine the entire layout of Ctrl combos to have Ctrl+Letter.

Allright, I see.

That's unfortunate. I wanted to map the shift+right click menu to a single button hotkey, but I couldn't overrride F1's help menu and the other ones are all in use. I dislike pressing RMB for menus if it occurs often. Thanks for the help.

Interesting idea.

F1 could be redefined, I had that for like 10 years. But lately (guess since 2019 version) there is a bug and no matter what you do, F1 still once in a while brings HELP window.

I recommend sacrificing some other F key.

Yeah, I have had some issues with other Autodesk software with F1 remapping (Revit, Fusion 360), I could override it in Max though.
