Okay I'm getting there, I have the dialog box to get the required variables and create a list of drawings to update.(a big thanks to this group) AND I have VB getting AutoCAD to open each of the drawings, Now How do I have VB tell AutoCAD to change the specific Block attributes and save. for example change the Customer Name in the title block to what ever the user just put in the text box???
Thanks

There are ton's of previous discussions on blocks and lots of sample code that should get you going. Try google.com or the web version of the ng for searching. -Ed

Why thank you, but you've just told a starving man that the answer to his problem is to go get something to eat. That may very well be the answer, but if he knew how and/or where to do that he would have already done so! I have tried "Google.com" and found only more confusion. I have no idea what the web version of this ng even means. I have absolutely no problem with writting my own code I'm only asking for a nudge in the right direction. You say there are ton's of previous discussions on blocks and lots of sampe code that should get me started, but where is it? How do I find it? I'm drowning - don't tell me to swim, Help me learn how to swim. Please and thank you.

Sorry, I assumed you could find the other discussion groups since you found this one. All the discussion groups are found at http://discussion.autodesk.com/ or through PointA at http://support.autodesk.com/enu/Homepage.asp. www.google.com is a powerful search engine that can search newsgroups. Click on the Groups tab and then Advanced Groups search. From the main search textbox, you can also enter a group search manually. Try the following: "block attribute group:autodesk.autocad.customization.vba". The discussions returned on the Groups tab often will have code samples from people answering previous questions on this subject. -Ed

Oh, and ng is shorthand for newsgroup. While at http://discussion.autodesk.com/, you'll notice that each newsgroup comes in two formats, one accessible via web browser and the other via newsreader. -Ed
