Post your code

Many users who are new to the programming forums fail to post their code when asking for help. We need all the information we can get in order to help you. Some also post images of their code or just post the code as text, which causes it to lose all formatting that the IDE uses. This makes it hard to read. If you post an image, then we can't copy the code for testing purposes. So here's how to post code in this forum.

Use the code window button, which looks like  a forward slash in between code tags brackets,  </>.

Paste your code to the new dialog and select your programming language, e.g. Visual Basic.

If you reply to a post using the quick reply button, it will use a reduced menu and you won't see the code window button. Just click on the ellipsis, which looks like 3 periods, ... in order to expand the menu so you can see the code window button.
