Currently Vault does not recognize a change in .MER files. The checksum is handled differently so it thinks it is the same even though modifications have been made....therefore it won't check the modified file in.
Thanks for posting the idea. The file will need to have a big enough change and that the way Vault evaluates the checksum it is different than the previous version.
Because Vault is the know all be all to files, this should be fixed as soon as possible as a user has no way of knowing when it doesn't work. We should be able to rely on the Vault process for all file types. Thank you...
