Ability to purge lifecycle controlled files with nunber of versions and days

This ability will enable users to purge files controlled by lifecycle rules with ability to choose from number of latest versions to keep in the latest revision and also ability to choose files older than certain dates.

This feature is available for files that are not controlled by lifecycle now it's needed for files controlled by lifecycle.

Hello,

we work with Vault Professional 2020.2.

- ouer files are lifecycle controled

- when I purge, all files are purged on settings of lifecycle

  (allthough files "work in process")

Files "work in process" have to be prevent for purching, becauce in starting time of designing files there is the most need to go back to an older version.

So please let us combine lifecycle control with time control.

example:

- start purging files with lifecycle control settings when files older than set in time control (example 90days)

- actual time control works only with files NOT controled on lifecycle

Yes...wishing for same.

Need a combined purge for files not connected to a lifecycle state.

Eg.  Files that are not linked to a lifecycle state, haven't been touched in 10 years, strip off all versions but 3.

Best,

Steve H.

After using Vault for the last 20 years, I've finally had a lightbulb realization that the purge option to limit by number of versions, days or comment is not applicable to any file under lifecycle control. 100% of our files in Vault Professional fall under lifecycle control.

The issue is the lifecycle purge settings are only keep ALL, the last in sequence or none. We really don't want to keep any versions of certain states long-term but short-term is critical. Example: Change Order is in process, we want to be able to keep all versions for review until later when the Change Order may be closed, then it's safer to purge out the WIP versions.

Help us Autodesk. Also, the documentation is just vague enough where none of this really is quite clear.
