Using Regular expressions (regex) with lifecycle transition criteria

It would be a big improvement if I could use regular expressions (regex) with the criteria of properties at lifecylce transitions. It's shown in the screenshot.

Thank you for posting your idea. Can you list some examples of expressions you would use if this was possible?

For example:

^(7\d{8}|9\d{8}|\d{14})(-\d{2})?$

Which means:

Any Number starting with (7 followed by 8 digits) or (9 followed by 8 digits) or (14 digits long) with an following section which starts with ("-" followed by two digits thats optional).

We would use this to ensure that the released files are properly named.

Thank you for the example and I am sure RegEx would have some benefits if added. Have you tried using Data Standards to make sure your files are named properly?

Yes, we use it for a self created term catalog to fill the properties (we still use IV2017). Are the Data Standards capable to check if the file name (not a property) matches a pattern described in my former post?

Starting with the upgrade to IV2019 we certainly will try the new term catalog, available since IV2018.

With data standard checks of file naming, as you mentioned, can be done.

Hi,
what's the matter changing the status back to the former state? This could be a very useful function. The last reply was, that this is possible with Data Standard but Data Standard isn't usable for the normal user and needs constant maintenance. So, in my opinion, it would be better to put this the standard Vault ability, next to the other criterias.

Wolfgang
