Property mappings - Index AFTER everything has been finished

Property mappings - Index AFTER everything has been finished

As I have to set up several test servers for 2016 migration I came again to that issue that Vault immediately starts indexing, once you add or change a property mapping.

If you click "OK" to finish the operation, it will take around 3 minutes for Vault to respond that the properties should be re-indexed (though it starts indexing anyways).

If you have to add like 30 mappings (new AutoCAD titleblock) this is not only tiresome but a punishment.

Add mapping -> wait 3 minutes -> add mapping -> wait 3 minutes -> ...

Why not have the user edit all the mappings at once and then re-index?

BTW: In Vault 2011 Pro it would only take 3 minutes for the first mapping. Once Vault was already indexing, it only took a few seconds to add more mappings.

Best regards

Erik

Property Re-indexing is not triggered when you perform a property mapping change. However, A property compliance check is triggered.
