Option to add company logotype in Vault Professional

It would have been nice with an option to add a company logotype in Vault Professional. The current database is of course displayed at the status bar, but when working with several Vault databases it is quite easy to accidentally check in files in wrong database. An upfront logotype would prevent many of those mistakes.

Thanks for posting the idea. Since the status bar already indicates what Vault and Server you are connected to and you don't look at it, why would a logo draw the user's attention?

Also, logos are large and would make the status bar large and not attractive.

Because a logotype is more obvious than looking at a tiny text at the bottom of the window. The toolbars anyway reserve space, and the logotype could be scalable depending on how many lines of toolbars you use. I propose this should be an option - just don't specify a logotype if you do not wish to occupy space at the top of the window.

I am confident that a logotype will draw more attention then the existing status bar text.

@jehd Vault has a Landing Page that can be customized to anything you want, including the company logo. Have you tried that?

No I haven't, but that would not help very much. My Vault is more or less constantly running, and all of a sudden someone asks me to check in some files for Volvo Cars, and the next day someone else asks me to manage something with Wallenstam.

N.B. I do not propose displaying a logo at the status bar, but rather next to the toolbars like in my image. Then you could close it just like the toolbars.

You could try using Data Standard and create a button on the toolbar and place the company name in that.

With a little programming, you can have it change based on the Vault you are logged into.

The button doesn't need to have a specific function.
