I understand there are ways to lock a file using the lifecycle and if your an admin however.
My Idea:
I think it will be very beneficial to add a simple setting for anyone to lock files in vault.
- You should only be able to lock a file when you are the file originator/creator.
- This setting should lock the file so no-one can access it apart from yourself and Administrators.
- There should be a option to add users to a list that can access the file
- Admins should be able to have full control of this setting on every file.
Reasons to suggest this idea:
- Our company vault is split into each office having their own folder which only people in that office have permission to use.
- When you are a global company and other offices help with work or people travel to different offices, people get given permissions to different folders.
- When you work in a large office there can be many people with permissions to your folder
