Custom files Numbering Scheme

We try to use this tool, but we can't. This tool have too much restrictions. For example, if the numerical sheme include a list, I can't add a section in this list after using it. More If I plan to add more than needed in these list example I need 01,02,03 and decide to add 04 to 99 to be sure that have more choice in the future, I can't change the description of each number of these list! Why it's just a description! 
Also it could be very important to see the description of each choice in the list inside Inventor or Autocad to help the user to make the correct choice. 

How can use this if my list need to be edited in the future to add a new code? I don't need to rename a partn in this list, simply add a new possibiility inside this list?
