Just tried this (copied the file to another location, made changes in vault to my fields, closed vault, opened to verify changes, closed replaced the file in the path provided with the copied file from before, opened vault) and my changes were still there so it doesn't allow for a simple replace in order to reset users preferences
I've found ways to capture various settings for individual users and get them from one PC to another, however it is tedious to have to dig around and move these things each time. OR simply build a default file for settings that can be either populated to a settings folder or restored to a user's profile to give them the same "corporate" settings.
