Autoloader should check for duplicates in Vault while uploading data

Hi Team,

We have suggestion for Autoloader:

Autoloader should have ability to check duplicates in Vault while uploading data. Currently it is checking only duplicates in local file folder.

Thank you for posting the idea. If Autoloader found a duplicate in Vault, what are your next steps to get the new data in Vault?

Our expectation is that "once Autoloader found the duplicates in Vault, it should neglect them and upload only the new data from the set which is selected from local file folder".

In addition, if those duplicates are rereferred in any assembly in local file folder, Autoloader should be able to pick the duplicate from Vault and fix the references under the assembly accordingly.

This is the requirement. Hope this clear to you.

Thank you for your feedback. What if it was only duplicated by the file name and it is not an actual duplicate?

This would cause a model not to open properly because the sub-component is not correct.

Simple check by file-name would be too simple, of course. But if you also check size and to be absolute save the hash - this feature might be extremely helpful in situatuions where you have to fill your vault with a set of seperate project folders (one .IPJ each) with a lot of duplicates.
