Vault Report

Does anyone have a simple report that will give me the File Name and Revision level?

I do not want to see the thumbnails which come with the out of the box Vault reports.  I need to be able to export this to Excel as well.  

The report will have approximately 200,000 files so any help would be great!

We have some report tools that will do this, but they are a cost product.  Out of the box, I don't know an easy way to do it.

Hi,

is the File Table report not good enough? It includes the filename and revision. After you have generated the report you can export the results to Excel.

No, I don't think for 200,000 files it would be viable, maybe 200-2000.

Understood. In this case I guess you should use SQL query to get out the data directly from Vault. There is a view dbo.vw_file which contains more or less all important data. But be careful when you create your query to set the right conditions. Otherwise you can slow down your production DB if the query is not written in the right way...

You could do a search and then "Print" that list 

Use something like provider is "Inventor" and Revision is not empty
