Vault Pro Shared Views - Securities

Hi

When allowing Shared Views in the Vault, I thought I would ask if anyone knows a way to restrict who can actually perform the shared view command.  If I enable the option it seems that everyone accessing the Vault can issue a shared view (even someone who is a document consumer). I have looked in Roles and there doesn't seem to be an option there for this. Ideally I would like to control which Group or Groups of Users can do this.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Thanks

Chris

This is done through the accounts.autodesk.com and editing a users ability to use shared views.  This restricts a user from using shared views although they still can get shared views from other users.  Just uncheck the Shared Views box under the users name in accounts.

Hi @chris_turner63 this is a great question, especially as access to this feature is not controlled directly in the Vault client as @rtowne72 demonstrated.

I just wanted to add a bit extra for those who may find this post and not know about Shared Views in Vault.

Let me know if you have any more questions about Shared Views.
