Slow Vault integration on Civil 3D

Hi,

Did someone have similar problem like me.

We have big project, more than 7000 files and more than 2000 DREFS.

Only to navigate to some file in the Civil 3D project takes about 5 minutes.

It works ok with small projects, but with this is terrible.

Vault check each file on Cashe and compare to Vault database and it take so long.

Did someone have any ideas.

It is the same with Vault 2017 and 2019 sp.1 as well.

Thanks for your input, this is Robbie Yuan From Civil 3D Product team, we got similar issue raised from another customer(use 2018.2) recently.

We will consider to do some research for improvement.

You mean 2018.2 Civil 3D ? Is it fixed there?

We currently use Civil 3D 2017, latest SP and Vault 2018 latest SP.

Our next step will be move all company to 2019 version (Vault and Civil).

It would be good to solve the problems  before it.

I have been discussing a lot with your colleagues about it.

I thing is to big task review all files in local drive and Vault DB.

One more problem.

Simple save small file. If toolspace set Master view it take 2:30 min, if active drawing view 20 sec. If logged out from Vault 2 sec. The same when you go from one dwg to another. It takes to long. It try to review project three all the times.

Hi Darius,

Not fixed yet, we just got this issue from you and another user(use C3D 2018.2), we plan to research it in short future.

For the new problem - do you mean it costs 2.5 mins to save a simple drawing on "Master View" and only needs 2 seconds after logout Vault account?  Could you give us more details(video/drawing file) -At my machine, it only costs less than 10 seconds to save middle-size drawing on "Master View".

Hi,

Yes, it is the same on mine if I have project with 100 files.

It happens only in project where we have 14 803 files and 3380 of them are DREFS.
