Office 2016 Add on problem

Hello Guys,

 

We've recently installed Vault Professional on our server and started using it. We've downloaded the office addon from the vault web page and there is a problem. We can't log in to vault from Office products from the Add in. It sends us a "failed to acquire licence" problem. This happens on all Office products except Outlook at the moment. The workaround seems to be to c&p and change a folder name from en-US to en-GB but this also wouldn't solve our problem.

 

Here are some details about the situation.

 

Our Virtual Server is running on Windows Server 2012 and we are using MS SQL 2014 Server for Vault. These programs are all installed in English language. 

 

The Vault clients are installed on Windows 10 Turkish Operating Systems. We've tried changing the language and the keyboard language to be sure if this was creating any problems but it seems not. On a side note, on SQL Server, if we use turkish characters, the Vault wouldn't see the SQL server and start creating problems for us.

 

Moreover, there aren't many Vault users in Turkey, (Only 4 in our city.) thus we can't really get much information about this issue. This only happens in Vault 2017 as far as we understand.

 

We've worked around 2 hours to solve the problem with our Autodesk Provider and yet to find a solution.

Hey Irvin,

 

I forgot to mention that we've already hotfixed our vaults too. Even though on knowledge it says the hotfix is used to remove this error, but for us it didn't. This is a really bad issue for us. Any other suggestions?

Hi Tolgay,

 

It was nice talking to you. Since the steps listed in this article did not fix the issue since you are on Windows 10 Turkish Operating Systems. We used the windows command: dism /online /get-intl to list the language settings. 

         ...

         Default system UI language : tr-TR
         The UI language fallback is : en-US
         System locale : tr-TR

         ...

 

If you run into this again we copied the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\CLM\V3\MSVC14\resources\adlm\en-US

to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\CLM\V3\MSVC14\resources\adlm\tr-TR

 

Then we were able to log into Vault through the Office 2016 Vault add-in.
