How to bring default iProperty into Vault Properties

I'm trying to make the vault description pull from the description field in Iproperties from Inventor 2023. The description fields are mapped to each other and should be writing either way (which is my ideal).

Can someone identify what is being done incorrectly here? I feel like it is something very simple, but I can't find the issue from the help articles or existing forum posts.

hi @pkrogSVW3G

here's my configuration. with this i could change/update Description field either in Vault or Inventor iProperties and it will match. but i believe our set up are similar at this level.

can you try to back track the file association? i have Description properties enabled for files in Base, Engineering and Standard categories.

Configure Categories > Engineering

Each file types are assigned to category by Assignment Rules

Anis,

Thanks! turns out having the subcategories checked is a requirement; I was treating it as if the subcategories of the file type were automatically included if the upper level was selected, but that is not the case.
