Hello,

Good day. We have been using Create dxf file in vault professional 2024 for a while now ,without issues.

One of the files failed with an error in the job processor. I have attached a screen shot of the error from job processor.

I checked for any spaces in file and folder name in vault ,renamed the folder ,checked in ,check out that file.

I can produce the dxf file suing save copy as on flat pattern in inventor . But we are

create dxf error.png

using the create dxf file in vault pro for a while and want to stay that way.

Please help.

Thank you

Best Regards,

Mohan

Hi @nnakka

Maybe the jobprocessor user does not have permission on the folder where this file is in?

Can you check the effective permissions on this folder and see if the job processor user has access to this folder?

Hi Johannes,

Thank you for your reply. I have admin level user access in vault . I didnt have any issue creating dxf files for all other files except this one. For this file i opened the flat pattern and used save copy as feature and created dxf file manually.

The folder it resides in vault is a normal folder created in vault and has no access issues. I will keep looking. Please let me know if you find any other reasons for this behaviour.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Mohan

I had a similar problem at a customer’s site: The JP of course needs to download the actual file to work with it. This download, however, might go into a different path that the usual working directory. It might be %temp% where Temp is something like “C:\users\<username>\Appdata” etc. In there Vault starts to build the remaining folders.

Point is, do you use a deep folder structure in Vault? With long folder names and long file names? You might have run into Window’s 256 character limit.

Thank you Raj. Folder structure is not deep in vault. With the same folder structure we were able to create dxf and pdf files in vault till this happened. i tried to create pdf from vault this morning and still the error repeats.
