When just about to release a product for manufacture we have a peer review of all our drawings to ensure nothing has been missed. Trying to use UpChain as much as possible for this but it it very time consuming generating a IR for each individual item drawing that needs a quick fix.
It would be good to be able to compile all minor investigations (in this scenario) into one investigation request like you can do for a product release using a ECR so you don't waste time generating IR after IR not to mention the email traffic gets a bit tedious especially if you have a huge assembly to check and release.
Or there may even be a way to setup a workflow under a different category to do this as a work around but the documentation in regards to workflows is pretty generic and leaves a lot to be trial and errored from a users point of view.
