I recently worked with the Autodesk support team to create and activate a number of custom item types for my tenant. Once activated, I noticed that all the custom item types shared the same icon. After reaching out to Autodesk support, I was informed that the icons cannot be changed for custom item types.
I ask that this feature, select icon for custom item type, be added to the system. I, as well as my users, find the unique item type icons to be very useful when scrolling through BOMs or other item structure information. Generally, I am a proponent of visual management so more visual indicators is better.
