When you manage subscriptions, having clear choices and knowing what to expect next matters. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance subscriptions and contracts in Autodesk account, the renewal experience has been updated to better reflect common renewal decisions. You can now more easily choose between turning off auto‑renew and canceling at renewal, with a clear distinction between the two paths.
Turning off auto-renew
All new subscriptions start with auto‑renew turned on. If you prefer to manage renewal manually, you can turn off auto‑renew while keeping your subscription active through its current term.
When you turn off auto‑renew, you’ll see renewal options that support different ways of renewing, including:
- Renewing directly in checkout
- Working with an Autodesk Partner or creating your own quote
- Managing renewals individually or in bulk, depending on eligibility and applicable terms
Your subscription will continue until its end date, and you’ll continue to receive standard renewal reminder notifications. This can help you stay aware of upcoming milestones while you review next steps. To learn how to turn off auto‑renew, see the support article here.
Auto-renew is now a simple toggle
Canceling at renewal
If you would like to cancel your subscription* at renewal instead, you can choose to do so from the cancel at renewal section at the bottom of the subscription details page in account. If plans change, you can undo the cancelation at any point before the subscription reaches the end of its shutoff period and choose from your renewal options. Auto‑renew will remain off unless you decide to undo cancel and turn auto-renew back on. For details on canceling at renewal and reversing this action, refer to the support article here.
You can use the new cancel at renewal section button to turn cancel on
You can use the undo cancel button to undo the cancelation as needed
You can choose to turn auto renew on or undo cancel directly from the subscriptions and contracts tab
You’ll see these updated renewal options the next time you manage a subscription in Autodesk account, making it easier to choose the action that best reflects your intent. Availability of these subscription management features in Autodesk account may vary by offering and/or country. Such features are not available for offerings purchased from an Autodesk reseller.
To learn more about this update, explore the experience in your account, or reach out to your Autodesk representative or partner for additional guidance.
*Cancel at renewal is not supported for multiple subscriptions.
