Application opens last project by default (in wrong res.)

One of the things that I find the most disrupting is that when I start the application, it will often automatically open the last project I've been working on. However, it does not open it from it's saved file. Even though all the layers are there and everything looks correct, if I check the top of the screen it will list the project as "untitled" and if I check the image size, the width and height will be correct but the res. will be at 100px/inch. If I'm just the tiniest bit distracted (which I often am) I tend to either not realize this, or forget it, and I continue to work on the piece for quite a while. I realize it first when I try to save and it asks me to name my "new file". Since the program has opened my piece in 100DPI, this means that I can't even overwrite the original file (I always draw in 300px/inch) but instead I need to delete everything I've just done, open the original file and redo it.

As you can imagine, it's quite a hassle.

I have tried to check the settings but cannot find anything that I could adjust to make sure the program always opens a fresh canvas at start.

I'm working in desktop version 8.5.1 (win 10).

https://blogs.autodesk.com/sketchbookpro/trents-tips-what-resolution-should-you-use-anyway/

Once you have setup resolution you like, you can save it and make it read only and every time you open the file, it can't be saved over.  i.e. 17x11-300ppi.tif

My resolution setup is saved to 300ppi. When I start up sketchbook pro it
will still sometimes open up the last project I've been working on but in
100ppi. This is when I click the desktop icon to start the program and not
when I open it through the project file.

If the original file was set at 100 PPI, then  SketchBook will open file at 100 PPI.  You may need to save as a .jpg or .png and import as a layer to redraw it.

Using Preferences > Canvas (tab), it will start new sketches at 300 PPI but it will open the 'original file's"  set resolution.

Hey,
Sorry I don’t think I’ve explained it well enough. The original file was set to 300ppi. I’m not even purposefully opening the file. I’m only starting the program itself by clicking the desktop icon and it then sometimes have my last file open but in 100ppi for some unexplainable reason. It hasn’t opened it from the saved file, the layers are all just automatically there when I start the program as if it were a new canvas.

It’s not a major issue since when I realize this, I can simply scrap it and open the real saved file instead. It simply slows me down which can be quite frustrating when I’m working on something important.
Anyway, I don’t think there is any solution for this but I wanted to leave some feedback at least. 🙂
