Hi Pablo

Sorry to hear about your problem. Before we can offer a suggestion, we need more details. For example,

  1. Does a "Check Model" work?
  2. What happens when you click the "Run" button? Does the design scenario title change? What does it say? Any output in the Output bar?
  3. Check the Simulation Job Manager. (Windows "Start > All Programs > Autodesk > Simulation Job Manager"). Does it show the analyses in the queue?
  4. What version of Windows are you using? Is that version compatible with Sim Mech 2016?

Hi Pablo,

It looks as if the images and the test model did not make it to the forum. My guess is that you replied to an email; you may need to log into the forum (through the internet) to add the images and attach the model.

If I understand your text, it sounds likethe Simulation Job Manager is not installed. If you do not see an "Autodesk Simulation Job Manager" under the  Windows "Start > All Programs > Autodesk" folder, then that would be a problem! (Also, the Control Panel list of installed programs does not show "Autodesk Simulation Job Manager".)    - - -  Normally, I would suggest that you install the latest version of the Simulation Job Manager (version 6.1 here), but I do not know if the latest version is compatible with Sim Mech 2016. In your case, I would do one of the following:

  1. If you have the installation files downloaded to your computer, go into the folder where the files are extracted (normally C:\Autodesk\something). Go into the "Support\sjm" folder and run "SimJobManager.msi". It only takes a few seconds to install and does not show any type of progress window, so it may look as if it does not do anything. But you should now have a Simulation Job Manager in the "Start > Programs".
  2. Option 2 is to re-install Sim Mech and make sure the option to install the job manager is selected.
