Hello, Congratulations to Robot development team for the great improvements that have been done to the program throughout recent years. Keep up the good work! I would like to suggest some improvements that I think could make Robot even a better program. Some of them have already been suggested. 1) Option to “join bars” such as API “addin for merging bars” should be included within Robot. 2) Improve “Mark with colors” functionality by providing a wider color palette. 3) Possibility to view diagrams for core walls in local axis of panels. 4) In results -> Detailed analysis, when you see envelope diagram for a bar (i.e. My), for “in point / current value” option, you can only see one value (apparently max absolute) instead of seeing both positive and negative values for the same calculation point. 5) Modal analysis with “automatic definition of seismic cases” feature for user defined spectrum. 6) For moving loads, possibility to define multiple routes with option to tell program that vehicles will “travel simultaneously”. Currently for multiple routes, Robot will generate all possible loading combinations between them. This would be the “rigorous” approach, but consumes a lot of time and computer effort. In practice, many times it is sufficient to define multiple vehicles that will move simultaneously between steps. Presently the only workaround is to define arbitrary vehicles. Also, moving loads table functionality needs to be improved (you can’t copy/paste rows). 7) In section builder module, when you import a cross section (i.e. bridge box girder), Robot always rotates local axis so that Iy>Iz. This limits and makes harder to work with user imported sections. An option to rotate axis is missing. 8) Significantly improve Phase structures. Current functionality makes it complicated to use and time consuming. Taking ideas from other software, some suggestions would be: Phase definition During phases definition, it is very useful to visually have complete structure, and nodes/bars/panels that haven’t been enabled are presented in a pale color or “gray out” manner. Phase selection window would serve as a sequence calendar, and you would click on a specific phase to activate it (as it is done currently), and then select members that you want to enable or “install” at that phase. Then you would see enabled members in a more solid color than the rest of the structure, and these elements are automatically enabled in subsequent phases. Phase Results Once analysis of individual models has completed as it is done currently, it would be very useful if the program generates automatic load combinations for each defined phase (stage1; stage1 + stage2; stage1 + stage2 + stage3 and so on…). Current functionality requires you to do it manually in “phase collection”, and defined combinations are lost once you change “base phase”. Also, “base phase” could update itself automatically, so when you see results for a specific stage (i.e. stage4), you would see all active members up to that stage. Regards,
