Hello,
I've got a foundation slab that has been modelled using shell elements and is subject to torsion.
In a similar post from 2017, titled "Torsion using Shell Elements", another user was concerned about obtaining torsional forces using panel cuts and MXY integral values, which do not provide the total torsional force acting on the section since there are other forces interacting.
In this case, the solution was to use the reduced moment and forces values for panel cuts.
My question is about how Robot designs the reinforcement of these shell elements. It seems to account for MXY values but not for the full torsional force acting on the section, am I right? Can you please provide further explanation regarding this? Do I need to provide further reinforcement to account for the torsional effects?
Thanks in advance
